Naturally occurring methane from a landfill can be converted from otherwise-wasted byproduct gas into useful forms of energy, such as Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). This can be injected into the natural gas pipeline network and transported anywhere in the United States.
Objective: Southern Illinois Landfill Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Project
Project Overview: Gross Mechanical installed approximately 15,000 linear feet of pipe, which was fabricated in its pipe shop in St Louis. Equipment scope included compressors, blowers, pumps, aftercoolers, chillers, and storage tanks. Gross Mechanical self-performed all equipment setting and pipe welding/install while managing subcontractors for insulation and paint.
