Pilot Plant Project for Sigma-Aldrich Corporation

The Sigma-Aldrich facility required the ability to extract and purify proteins from plant products tissue.  It was Gross Mechanical’s task to provide engineering based on the piping and instrumentation diagrams, shop fabricate 16 modules consisting of pumps, tanks and piping, and install the modules and interconnecting piping.  GMC used its project management system to complete final engineering and installation of high purity pharmaceutical equipment and piping.  With a crew of 50 craftsmen, the project was successfully completed in 30 working days.
